Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder Poles

There are many different types and styles of squirrel proof Bird Feeder Poles each with its own mounting design and physical attributes. Backyard Wild Birds has chosen Bird Feeder Poles that are noted for their strength, durability and are good at squirrel proofing. Each Bird Feeder Pole does a good job of securing the pole in the ground and are listed toghether to be easily reviewed. Here are the basic types of Bird feeder poles:

Squirrel Stopper Pro 1) Squirrel Stopper Pro 
The Squirrel Stopper Pro is excellent at stopping squirrels and raccoons from climbing the pole. Many different styles of bird feeders can hang from its 4 hanger arms and 8 mounting hooks. Get started feeding and enjoying wild birds with this heavy duty Bird Feeder Pole in your Backyard.

- Main pole = 2" diameter tubular steel pole
- Crossbars = 1" Diameter tubular steel 3 ft across
- Auger = screw at bottom of pole (approx. 2 ft. in ground)

Assembled by turning in the Auger with a crossbar.
Locked in place with a bolt and wing nut

2) Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder Pole
Bird Feeder Pole with two hanger arms and a cylinder squirrel baffle that is made to squirrel proof bird feeders hung above it. Begin feeding the birds and not the squirrels!

- Main Pole = 1" diameter tubular steel pole
- Hanger Arms = 1/2" round steel rod, each with 12" reach
- Ground Socket = 20" Twist in Ground Socket

Assembled by twisting in ground socket with large screw driver
Locked in place with side turn screw
Features a cylinder squirrel baffle.


Raccoon Proof Poles 3) Raccoon Proof Bird Feeder Pole
Bird Feeder Pole with four hanger arms and a large cylinder raccoon baffle that is made to squirrel and raccoon proof bird feeders hung above it. Very classy Bird Feeder Pole that keeps unwelcomed guests at bay!

- Main Pole = 1" diameter tubular steel pole
- Hanger Arms = 1/2" square steel stockwith twist, each with 12" reach
- Ground Socket = 20" Twist in Ground Socket

Assembled by twisting in ground socket with large screw driver
Locked in place with side turn screw
Features a large cylinder Raccoon baffle.


Shepherd Staff Bird Feeder Pole
4) Shepherd Staff Poles
Wrought iron Shepherd Staff Poles that can have multiple hanger arms and an optional 17" cone squirrel baffle to stop squirrels, just what a bird feeder pole needs. Bird Pole has quick connect middle and top hanger arm.

- Main Pole is 1/2" square wrought iron steel
- Hanging arms are wrought iron 12" reach
- Ground Socket - 12" reinforced step in the ground typical

Assembled by stepping in ground until flush

Post Bird Feeder Poles 5) Post Bird Feeder Pole
This Post Bird Feeder Pole Kit has all the hardware necessary to make a bird feeder pole using a 4x4 post. The Bird Feeder Pole hardware includes 2 hanger arms, 2 metal hanging squirrel baffles, a 18" Post Cone squirrel baffle and a Post Socket Ground Mount.

- Main Pole is 4x4 wood post purchased separtely
- 2 Hanging arms are wrought iron 15" reach
- Ground Socket - 18" post in the ground socket

Assembled by attaching ground screw, wrap around squirrel baffle, screw 2 hanger arms and hang cone baffles.

All of the Bird Feeder Poles above have good mounting methods that rely on their in ground mounting to hold and secure them. There are also Pole Squirrel Baffles that  must be on poles or squirrels would be able to access to the Bird Feeders above them.  Bird Feeder Poles should be placed about 10 ft away from any oject a squirrel can launch a sideways jump from. We have not seen any problems using any of these poles and they have stood up to pretty strong winds. When I know strong gales are coming, I temporarily bring in the Bird Feeders and their Hanging Feeder Baffles above.
